Seeking a skilled and dedicated Alarm Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will install, maintain, and repair various alarm systems, including fire alarms, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and surveillance equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, computer networking, and mechanical knowledge to ensure the safety and security of our clients' properties.
Responsibilities
Install and configure alarm systems, including fire alarms and surveillance equipment.
Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on existing alarm systems to ensure optimal functionality.
Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning alarm systems, identifying issues related to electrical components or software.
Collaborate with clients to assess their security needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and installations performed.
Provide technical support and training to clients on properly using their alarm systems.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in alarm technology to enhance service delivery.
Requirements
Proven experience as an Alarm Technician or in a similar role within the security industry.
Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, IDS, surveillance technologies, and locksmithing principles.
Proficiency in computer networking and telecommunicating effectively with clients and team members.
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to detect issues in complex systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
A valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites.
Must pass a Drug Test and Background Check
