Currently seeking for Fabrication Helpers in the Covington and New Orleans LA area.
This position requires individuals who are skilled in fabricating metal structures such as ductwork and piping. The successful candidate will have experience using various fabrication tools and machinery, as well as the ability to read technical drawings. Attention to detail and precision are essential for producing high-quality fabricated products. Forklift certification is a plus for this role.

Fabrication Helper Responsibilities: - Fabricate and assemble commercial metal ductwork and piping according to specifications. Must be able to read a tape measure. Pay is $16 to $17 depending on experience. - Operate press brake machine to bend and shape metal sheets - Use plasma cutting equipment to cut metal pieces to the required size and shape - Solder or weld metal components together to create a strong and secure bond - Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings - Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery to build and fabricate various metal structures - Perform quality control checks to ensure finished products meet the required standards
Qualifications: - Previous experience in fabricating and assembling ductwork and piping is preferred - Proficient in using press brake machines, plasma cutting equipment, and other fabrication tools - Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately - Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision - Familiarity with soldering or welding techniques is a plus - Forklift certification is a plus
